Gabon

I visited Gabon in 2003, two years after the country created 11 new national parks.

Gabon is the country in Africa which has the largest percentage of untouched rainforest in its territory.
The rainforest reaches until the coast. In Petit Loango Nationalpark it is possible to see gorillas at the beach, and hippos surfing the waves of the Atlantic ocean!
