Heidelberg
Heidelberg lies on the Neckar river, close to its junction with the Rhine. The city was destroyed in a war with France in 1693, and rebuilt in baroque style. It has remained almost unchanged since.
In the castle, they keep the large wine barrel that was made in 1750 to store the "tenth of wine", the part of the regional wine production that belonged to its rulers. It can hold 220 thousand liters of wine.
It seems to be fun to live and study in Heidelberg...
