The Ruhr Metropolis is the European Cultural capital of the year 2010, together with Istanbul and Pécs in Hungary.

These pictures were taken at the Grand Opening of RUHR.2010 on January 9th, 2010 at World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein in Essen.
